Houston-born actor Roby Attal is in the running to become one of Hollywood's new leading men, after landing the starring role in Netflix's new romantic series This Summer Will Be Different.

The show, currently in production in Canada, co-stars Yellowjackets lead Sophie Nélisse as a young woman with a forbidden but unstoppable connection to her best friend's brother. The 27 year old has slowly built up a portfolio of roles, from starring in Sabrina Carpenter's Man Child music video, to featuring in Dexter: Resurrection and The Sex Lives of College Girls. If the success of Netflix's other literary adaptations are anything to go by, from Heartstopper to The Queen's Gambit, this new series will soon make Attal a household name.
